Job summary

Armstrong World Industries seeks a Lay Up Operator in Marshfield, MO to support production in the Layup Department. You will apply adhesive to plies, stack layers, operate the press and trim material with a router, ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires reading work sheets and drawings, startup/shutdown of equipment, and routine maintenance. Overtime and SDS familiarity are expected; a High School diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• No minimum education and/or experience required (per ad), but preferred background in manufacturing.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow work sheets, drawings and travelers.
• Ability to start up/shut down and adjust machines via touch-screen.
• Willingness to overtime and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply spray adhesive to multiple plies of sheet material and lay up layers.
• Operate press and trim excess material with a router.
• Start up and shut down machines; perform PP maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate production paperwork and communicate with supervisors.
