Job summary

A leading technology firm in California is looking for a PCB Layout Engineer to manage component placement and full PCB layouts using Altium. The candidate should have over 5 years of experience in PCB layout, especially with power electronics and high-speed signals. Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and hit tight schedules.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Own component placement optimization and full PCB layout in Altium.
• Execute layout for power, control, and communication circuits.
• Route high-speed and power-sensitive signals following best practices.
• Handle Ethernet routing (10Mbps single-pair Ethernet / 10BASE-T1L).
• Perform LGA/BGA fanout and dense component routing.
• Ensure power integrity across 48V input, buck converters, and LDO rails.

Safety & Compliance

• Apply UL and functional safety standards.
• Ensure proper creepage and clearance for high-voltage spacing.
• Prepare design for manufacturability and fab release.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of relevant PCB layout experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Altium.
• Power electronics and control board layout experience.
• Experience with high speeds (10Gb) and high voltage.
