Job summary

ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking a Residential Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader in the Austin area. You will lead a crew to complete lawn care tasks with professionalism and strong customer service, and may serve as the crew's driver when needed.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of lawn maintenance experience; bilingual is a plus. Local candidates only; schedule typically Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
• Previous Lawn Maintenance or relevant outdoor/labor experience (1–3 years minimum) preferred.
• Ability to work outside for long periods, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• English speaking is preferred; bilingual is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies property address/location before services has begun.
• Reads notes added to route to follow special instructions and ensures mowing, trimming, edging, blowing and all lawn maintenance tasks are done professionally.
• Proficient operation of lawn maintenance equipment; becomes proficient in new equipment.
• Instructs crew on safe handling of mowing equipment and safety procedures.
• Directs workflow and manages crew performance to meet customer expectations and service contracts.
• Greases and oils machines, checks blades, reports malfunctions, and ensures equipment is loaded and working.
• Ensures trailer lights and equipment are functional; reports malfunctions.
• Identifies damages and reports to Service Manager; inspects work area before leaving.
