Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support maintenance across commercial and public properties. You will perform basic landscaping tasks under supervision, operate lawn care equipment, and assist with plant material care.

This role requires physical endurance and a customer-friendly demeanor, with opportunities to grow within a large national landscape company. The position involves outdoor work in varying weather, manual labor, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge using gas-powered edger/trimmer, and blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to shape growth or remove damageable branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves and debris onto turf before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing.
• Perform weeding by hand or with a garden hoe.
