Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance for a variety of properties. The role involves basic tasks under supervision and assisting in safe operation of commercial landscaping equipment while caring for plant material.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, dependable and capable of handling outdoor, physical work. Opportunities exist to grow horticultural skills within a leading national landscape company; a team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with edger/trimmer, and operate a blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or growth.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Rake, mulch leaves, and perform basic weed control.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader or Production Manager.
