Job summary
BrightView is seeking a Landscaper I to provide landscape maintenance support for commercial and public properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, operate standard landscaping equipment safely, and assist with plant material and landscape features.
You will cut turf with mowers, prune shrubs, plant beds, weed, mulch, and report unsafe conditions. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, working outdoors in various weather, and maintaining a polite demeanor with guests.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to operate power mowers, edgers, trimmers and blowers safely.
- Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
- Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered edger/trimmer, operate a gas-powered blower.
- Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or growth habit.
- Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
- Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects.
