Job summary

Winston Taylor in Chicago seeks a Law Student Recruiting Assistant to support law student and entry-level recruitment. You will report to the Law Student Recruiting Specialist and assist with talent development initiatives within the Attorney Recruiting & Integration Department.

This role requires strong organizational skills, 6+ months recruiting/admin experience in a law firm, and flexibility to work 3–5 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 6+ months recruiting or administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Must live within a commutable distance to a firm office with the ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week with flexibility for 5 days per week.
• Must be available to work outside regularly scheduled hours during peak recruiting season, the summer program, and as business needs.
• Prior recruiting experience is ideal; legal recruiting experience is preferred.
• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the summer associate program and entry-level hiring.
• Coordinate the Summer Associate Program activities, including orientation, training, social events, assignment tracking, and file preparation.
• Support calendar management for summer program, including events and training.
• Input and monitor evaluation information in recruitment database.
• Diligently update candidate information and statuses within recruitment database on an ongoing basis.
• Route applicant information to Attorney Recruiting & Integration team members.
• Help update law student recruiting data and materials.
• Prepare, update, and send interview schedules, greet candidates, solicit feedback, and prepare electronic interview files.
• Prepare surveys, maintain charts, and provide statistical hiring data.
• Assist with planning and coordinating in-person events and receptions.
• Assist with conference room scheduling and onboarding-related services.
• Process candidate and expense reimbursements.
• Assist with GPA calculations for candidate files.
• Assist with special firm-wide projects and provide admin support.
