IsoData in the United States seeks experts to write and review legal reasoning, issue spotting and regulatory tasks for AI training. This remote, project-based role pays per accepted task and requires a legal background.

You will draft synthetic legal scenarios, grade model answers, review compliance tasks, verify citations, and write rubrics. Applicants must study law or hold a law degree or have paralegal or policy training and be authorized to work in the US.

Remote, United States. Project-based.

For legal and policy professionals who can find the clause, rule or exception an answer overlooks. Write and review legal reasoning, issue-spotting and regulatory tasks.

Pay: $150 to $300 an hour, paid per accepted task. There is no guaranteed project, task volume, hours or pay.

You must live in the US, be at least 18 and be authorized to work in the United States. We accept applications on an ongoing basis.

What you would do

• Write synthetic legal scenarios, such as a contract dispute over a late delivery, with issue lists and reference answers.
• Grade model answers for missed issues, wrong rules and overconfident conclusions.
• Review regulatory and compliance tasks against the source text, such as whether a policy meets a privacy rule.
• Check that each citation in a model answer is real and supports what the answer says.
• Write rubrics that check the rule, its exceptions and the jurisdiction.

The minimum

• You study law or hold a law degree, or you have paralegal, compliance or policy training.
• Research, drafting or analysis you did yourself and can explain in depth, such as a memo, brief or policy paper.
• You can read a statute, regulation or contract closely and apply it to a set of facts.
• Care with jurisdiction, definitions and exceptions.

Ideal

• A JD or LLM and an active bar license; a research degree in law or policy is even better.
• Practice, clerkship, compliance or policy work, especially at an AI lab or AI company.
• Depth in a practice area, such as contracts, litigation, privacy or regulatory work.
• Published legal or policy writing.
