Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1 year of library, customer service, or office experience.
• Preferred knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
• Ability to troubleshoot and handle library users in person and by phone.
• Strong time management and clear oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Directs and trains library student assistants in the absence of the Circulation Desk Supervisor.
• Provides service at the circulation desk, checks materials in/out, answers policy questions.
• Maintains library environment and collections; reports maintenance issues.
• Shelves materials, manages reserve collection, and assists with document delivery.
• Opens/closes library, including weekend coverage and recording door stats.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
