Job summary

Cleveland State University Engaged Learning seeks a librarian to manage the Law Library Access and Technical Services Department. You will oversee budget, invoicing, fund accounting, and reporting; supervise staff; and supervise bibliographic/collection maintenance and Special Collections.

MLS from an ALA-accredited school and five years' experience are required, with library automation and OCLC cataloging experience preferred; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited school.
• Five years professional library experience.
• Experience in technical services or collection management in academic, research, law or other special libraries.
• Experience with library automation systems and OCLC cataloging.

Responsibilities

• Manages all functions of the Law Library Access and Technical Services Department and participates in budget development.
• Oversees invoicing, fund accounting, and prepares reports on department activities.
• Provides oversight for bibliographic and collection maintenance and quality control.
• Manages the Special Collections room and digital content collections.
• Supervises assigned staff and interacts professionally with internal and external customers.
