Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a seasoned Controller in Cranberry, PA to oversee the firm’s accounting operations, including trust accounting and partner distributions. This role partners with leadership and administrative teams to maintain financial health in a professional services environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, knowledge of legal billing, and strong GAAP skills. A law-firm background strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience as Controller or in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of legal billing, WIP, collections, and trust/IOLTA accounting preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
• Maintain general ledger and oversee reconciliations.
• Oversee AP/AR, cash management, and billing.
• Supervise attorney and client billing, including WIP and collections.
• Monitor cash flow and provide analysis to leadership.
• Ensure IOLTA/trust accounting compliance and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop internal controls and coordinate with auditors.
