Job summary

Career Legal is seeking a Collections Associate to support its Collections Manager across client accounts and firm-wide AR activities. The role will work with partners and fee-earners in a US office and coordinate with other offices to ensure timely collections and compliant processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in collections within a law firm or professional services setting, strong communication, and proficient use of AR/debt management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• 3+ years of collections experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Experience using AR/debt management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support partner and fee-earner collections meetings and liaise with billers.
• Chase outstanding debts using established collections processes.
• Investigate and resolve e-billing queries.
• Escalate AR queries to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain updates in the collections tool on allocation, escalations, and cash flow.
• Build and maintain a network of client finance contacts.
• Support daily allocation of cash payments and client funds reimbursements.
