Job summary

TalentCloud Group is seeking an experienced Law Enforcement Defense Attorney to join its litigation practice in the United States. You will defend agencies and officers in complex civil rights matters, manage cases from inception to resolution, and work closely with law enforcement clients, experts, and witnesses.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of litigation experience, is admitted to the California Bar in good standing, and possesses strong constitutional law expertise.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar admission and in good standing.
• 3–6 years of litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of constitutional law and civil rights issues.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Deposition and courtroom experience.
• Strong organizational and case-management abilities.
• Ability to manage matters independently as part of a team.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend law enforcement agencies and officers in state and federal court.
• Manage a caseload from inception through resolution.
• Handle civil rights and constitutional claims arising from law enforcement.
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.
• Develop and execute discovery strategies.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, settlements, and other proceedings.
• Work with law enforcement clients, agency reps, experts, and witnesses.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom strategy.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on high-profile matters.
• Independently manage assigned cases while contributing to a team.
