Harford County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Law Enforcement Analyst to research and analyze crime and incident data, and to support investigations with intelligence products. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, GIS mapping, and collaboration with patrol and investigations staff.

The analyst will prepare reports, briefs, and dashboards, monitor social media for threats, and ensure data validity while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Three years of work experience conducting criminal intelligence and/or crime analysis.
• Experience collecting, collating, and analyzing intelligence data and preparing reports.

Responsabilidades

• Extract, collect, collate, and analyze crime data to disseminate intelligence products.
• Monitor social media for potential criminal activity or threats to the community.
• Use databases and spreadsheets to identify crime patterns, suspects, and MO.
• Prepare charts, maps, and reports for patrol, investigations, and command staff.
• Develop and disseminate a variety of analysis products and threat assessments.
• Provide oral briefings and written reports with data visualizations.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with staff and other agencies to support enforcement priorities.
