Job summary

Harford County Sheriff's Office is seeking a data-driven analyst to collect and analyze crime, incident, and traffic data to support investigations and patrol operations. You will leverage GIS mapping and statistical tools to identify trends, craft intelligence products, and disseminate actionable information to leadership and partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice or related field, with 3+ years in crime analysis; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field required (Master’s preferred).
• Three years of work experience in criminal intelligence/crime analysis.
• Knowledge of data collection, correlation, and analysis processes.

Responsibilities

• Extract and analyze crime, incident, and traffic data to inform intelligence products.
• Monitor trends and patterns using spatial and temporal analyses.
• Prepare reports and visualizations (charts, maps) for patrol, investigations, and leadership.
