This is a highly visible growth position with significant opportunity to influence the future of public safety transportation.

Key Responsibilities
Law Enforcement Business Development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs, Command Staff, Fleet Managers, Procurement Officers, Training Coordinators, and other public safety decision-makers.

  • Execute strategic outreach campaigns to generate vehicle demonstrations, evaluations, pilot programs, and fleet deployment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through consistent prospecting, relationship development, and follow-up activities.
  • Represent UP.FIT as a trusted resource within the public safety community.
Vehicle Demonstrations & Agency Engagement
  • Coordinate and support vehicle demonstrations, ride-and-drive events, fleet evaluations, and agency presentations.
  • Identify and secure host agencies for regional demonstration and EVOC events.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, fleet events, association meetings, and public safety gatherings to expand market awareness and generate opportunities.
  • Work closely with agency stakeholders to understand operational requirements and deployment objectives.
Public Safety Fleet Consulting
  • Understand agency fleet replacement cycles, procurement requirements, budget processes, and operational priorities.
  • Assist agencies in evaluating vehicle performance, operational benefits, and total cost of ownership.
  • Support proposal development, budgeting discussions, and long-term fleet planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and supported.
  • Monitor trends in law enforcement, public safety fleets, vehicle technology, and government procurement.
  • Identify upcoming procurement opportunities, funding initiatives, and fleet modernization programs.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and business strategy.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of UP.FIT 's national public safety footprint.
CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate activity records, opportunity updates, and pipeline forecasts within company CRM systems.
  • Provide regular updates on territory performance, market developments, and key customer initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience selling products or services directly to law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, government fleets, municipalities, counties, state agencies, or federal agencies.
  • Demonstrated success generating meetings, demonstrations, evaluations, pilots, or sales opportunities within law enforcement or public sector accounts.
  • Strong understanding of public sector sales cycles, relationship-based selling, and government procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling police vehicles, emergency vehicles, specialty fleet vehicles, or vehicle upfitting solutions.
  • Experience selling public safety technology, communications systems, fleet management solutions, in-car technology, body-worn camera systems, software platforms, or related law enforcement products.
  • Existing relationships within law enforcement agencies, sheriff’s offices, state police organizations, public safety associations, or government fleet communities.
  • Familiarity with cooperative purchasing contracts, RFP processes, state purchasing schedules, and public sector procurement practices.
  • Prior experience within law enforcement, military, emergency services, fleet management, or government operations.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicles, fleet electrification, or charging infrastructure.
Success Metrics
  • Success in this role will be measured by:
