The Congress of Neighboring Communities (CONNECT) engages Pittsburgh and 44 neighboring municipalities, together with Allegheny County, on shared public safety and public health priorities — including its Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) program, a pre-arrest diversion alternative that connects residents with mental health or substance use needs to harm-reduction-based case management rather than arrest.
About the Role
CONNECT seeks a LEAD Coordinator to carry out the day-to-day implementation of its LEAD program across Allegheny County municipalities, keeping the program on schedule and in compliance with its objectives. Working under the direction of the Director of Public Safety & Wellbeing, the Coordinator keeps implementation on track, coordinates the work of program partners, and provides the logistical and data support that keep LEAD running. Program strategy, expansion, senior-official relationships, and policy are led by the Director.
