Job summary

CACI International is seeking a Law Clerk I to join a high‑performing team supporting the Department of Justice’s Civil Division. The role focuses on Claims Review (Eligibility, Fast Track, Non‑Economic Loss) and enhances exposure to the litigation life cycle from discovery through trial and appeal.

You will work with litigation support professionals and gain hands‑on experience while pursuing opportunities for Relativity certifications and related training.

Qualifications

• Law degree or current ABA‑accredited law student, having completed at least one year of study.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with proficiency in LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Hands‑on experience with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures and resources.
• Experience reviewing and evaluating claims to determine legal sufficiency.
• Strong Excel skills with complex workbooks.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including interaction with claimants and external attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Support the Tax Division through intensive document reviews to identify relevant materials.
• Conduct legal and factual research to aid case development and strategy.
• Assist with discovery through trial and appeal as part of a litigation team.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external counsel to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
