Qualifications

• Multiple years' post-JD experience.
• Proficiency with technology and presentation tools.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing students with support in an inclusive environment.
• Understanding of legal hiring processes and/or law student professional development.

Responsibilities

• Career Counseling: Provide career counseling and advice to JD students on self-assessment and career planning strategies; review and revise resumes, cover letters, and other application materials; provide interview preparation and mock interviewing; guide students in expanding their professional networks.
• Programming & Events: Develop and execute presentations, programs, and events to provide students with career skills, guidance, networking opportunities, and professional advice, individually, with OCPD staff, and in partnership with judicial chambers, law firms, government agencies, other legal employers, and bar associations.
• Judicial Clerkships & Alumni Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for judicial clerkship advising and assist with alumni career advising.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Track and collect summer and post-graduate employment data for required internal and external reporting.
• General Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
