US Air Mobility Command at Scott AFB Lodging Facility seeks a flexible part-time Laundry Attendant to process linen and cleaning tasks. The role requires the ability to read labels on chemicals and safety data sheets, and to learn proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions while removing stains from linens.
Candidates should work independently, follow set procedures, and ensure accurate, safe handling of fabrics. No previous experience required; training will be provided.
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Lodging Facility.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
No previous experience required. Must be able to read and follow directions on labels affixed to chemicals, detergents and on Safety Data Sheets. Must have the ability to learn proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and how to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of linen. Must be able to work independently and to determine what is needed at each part of each sequence to process a variety of laundry items. Skill and attention to accuracy and following set procedures. Skill to safely clean and remove stains from any type of fabric. Must have ability to learn proper procedures to safely perform work.
