Job summary

McKinley Park Care Center is seeking a full-time Janitor for the PM shift to support housekeeping and laundry operations. Responsibilities include handling and delivering clean linens, labeling resident clothing, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Ideal candidates will have a GED or high school diploma and about a year of related experience. Must be able to read instructions, perform basic math, and solve problems as they arise. No prohibitive certifications are required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treating, washing, drying and folding clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification

• GED or High School Diploma
• 1 year of experience preferred

Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures
