Join our team as a Laundry & Public Spaces Attendant at Inn At The Pier Pismo Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

We're looking for a versatile and dependable team member to join our housekeeping operation in a dual-function role. As a Laundry Attendant & Public Area Attendant, you'll keep our hotel running like clockwork—spending (on average) three days per week in our laundry operation ensuring every linen is perfectly cleaned, and two days per week maintaining the spotless lobby and public spaces that create an unforgettable first impression for our guests.

Your Role

As a Laundry Attendant, you’ll maintain a constant supply of clean linens, ensuring everything from guest towels to staff uniforms is handled with care and efficiency. Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load, and unload linens and laundry items through washers, dryers, and chutes.
• Iron, fold, store, and deliver linens to ensure a consistent supply of fresh, clean items for the hotel.
• Clean and maintain laundry machinery and the laundry area to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors, keeping all linens off the floor and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Understand and operate washing machines and dryers, cleaning dryer filters daily and maintaining all equipment as trained.
• Follow safe work practices to ensure the safety of guests and fellow employees and be familiar with all hotel policies and house rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Public Area Attendant Responsibilities

As a Public Area Attendant, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and fitness centers using proper tools and chemicals. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and polishing.
• Remove trash and debris from public spaces, empty trash receptacles, and ensure areas are spotless and inviting.
• Replenish supplies and prepare cleaning carts with the necessary tools and products to complete assignments efficiently.
• Inspect furniture and equipment for damage such as rips, tears, or stains and report issues promptly for maintenance or repair.
• Keep spaces safe and secure by safeguarding assigned keys, ensuring sensitive areas are handled with care, and maintaining guest privacy.
• Greet and interact with guests, addressing questions and requests professionally and courteously to enhance their experience.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and secure environment for guests and staff.
• Support other housekeeping tasks or special projects such as delivering items to guestrooms, assisting with room cleaning, and preparing spaces for the next guest with attention to detail.
• Other duties as assigned.
