Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Full-Time Evening Laundry Attendant to maintain cleanliness of the hotel's public areas and support overnight housekeeping. The role ensures an adequate supply of clean linens for daily operations and helps prepare the hotel for the next day.

Flexibility for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is required. Duties include operating laundry equipment, stocking linens, cleaning public spaces, and assisting with guest requests and other housekeeping

Qualifications

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment following proper laundry procedures.
• Wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute hotel linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of clean linens and restock housekeeping closets.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Monitor laundry equipment and report maintenance concerns immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including lobby, hallways, elevators, fitness center, breakfast area, restrooms, laundry facilities, and entrances.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize high-touch surfaces, and remove trash throughout the property.
• Assist housekeeping by delivering linens, amenities, supplies, cribs, rollaway beds, and other guest-request items.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest service requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with stripping rooms, making beds, removing trash, and other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Maintain organization of housekeeping storage rooms and replenish supplies.
• Perform routine property walks to identify cleanliness, maintenance, or safety concerns.
• Recognize and report potential safety hazards including water leaks, broken equipment, or security concerns.
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations during evening hours.

As a Full-Time Evening Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel's public areas, completing overnight housekeeping support tasks, and ensuring an adequate supply of clean linens for daily hotel operations. This position plays a vital role in preparing the hotel for the following day by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction.

This position requires flexible scheduling availability, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Qualifications:

• Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively identify and solve problems while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Readily available and approachable for guests while providing exceptional hospitality.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
