Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Woodford, VA is seeking a Laundry Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operation of the laundry department, supervise attendants, and ensure linens, towels, and uniforms meet the resort’s high standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.

You will lead a safety‑minded, service‑oriented team, coordinate production schedules, train staff, manage inventory, and partner with Housekeeping and Engineering to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• Background in housekeeping or laundry department supervisory experience in a large hotel/resort.
• Broad understanding of the tourism and day-to-day operations of a large-volume hotel/resort.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laundry operations and supervise attendants.
• Lead, coach, and support staff while promoting safety and service.
• Monitor linen quality, cleanliness, and inventory.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and staffing.
• Assist with training and performance coaching.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laundry equipment.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals, supplies, and materials.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments.
• Support reporting, inspections, and continuous improvement.
