Position: Laundry Maintenance Technician

Location: 1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455, USA

Position Summary: The Laundry Maintenance Technician provides mechanical and service support to the Laundry & Uniforms Division of the resort.

Pay Rate: The listed pay rate on job boards is auto-generated; the actual rate will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED (strongly preferred)
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently
• Responsible and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with minor repairs such as replacing air filters, light bulbs, sockets, ironer strings, and cleaning lint screens
• Basic plumbing skills including replacing drain valves, cleaning drain screens, fixing leaking faucets and toilets
• Regular cleaning duties: sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming
• Maintaining outdoor areas, including loading dock and trash collection areas
• Inspecting control panels and electrical wiring, reporting issues to lead technician
• Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying supervisor of low stock
• Responding promptly to emergency repairs and clean-ups
• Ensuring maintenance equipment is in good working order
• Assisting with plant operation duties during downtime, such as loading/unloading, driving routes, responding to emails, folding linen
• Performing other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Work on-site as required
• Work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress, remaining calm
