Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform maintenance work in the stores and collaborate with store management to implement new preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the maintenance and safe operation of company-owned equipment, including tools, systems, and vehicles.
  • Receive work orders, prioritize tasks, and follow up on completed work.
  • Handle emergency repairs immediately to prevent property damage and personal injury.
  • Coordinate with local contractors for major repair projects and maintenance programs.
  • Assist in procedures for rapid response to emergency building or systems failures to minimize store disruption, sales loss, and product spoilage.
  • Recommend capital improvement projects to maintain efficient building operations, via facilities checklists.
  • Assist with the implementation of minor capital projects.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Conduct store visits to ensure compliance with maintenance projects, programs, and procedures.
  • Educate store managers on the importance of planned maintenance to increase profitability by reducing expenses.
  • Participate in on-site surveys for new and remodel projects.
  • Complete assigned projects according to company standards for criteria, time, cost, and quality.
  • Conduct field inspections on projects, ensuring work compliance and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide maintenance expertise to operations and other departments.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, disaster recovery, and compliance situations.
  • Continuously evaluate best practices and suggest improvements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED plus five years of experience in building systems maintenance and construction trades. Computer skills required, including Microsoft Outlook, Service Now Call Tracking system, and basic knowledge of iPhone and iPad operations.
