Job summary

Caswell Developmental Center, an Eastern Region resource of the North Carolina DHHS, seeks a Vehicle/Equipment Operator I to perform linen transport, supply delivery, and related duties on campus. You will help sort, wash, and sanitize linen carts, and maintain vehicle cleanliness as part of daily operations.

The role requires basic vehicle operation knowledge, ability to perform pre-operational checks, and compliance with traffic laws and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Working knowledge of the vehicle used in daily tasks.
• Ability to perform pre-operational checks on vehicles/equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pickup of soiled linen and delivery of clean linen to homes and program areas on campus.
• Deliver incontinent products to homes on campus and assist with sorting/folding of linens as needed.
• Wash and sanitize laundry carts and the soiled linen room; keep vehicle clean and sanitary.
