Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Caswell Developmental Center is seeking a Vehicle/Equipment Operator I (S) to manage linen pickup, delivery, and related laundry tasks on campus. This full-time role includes vehicle maintenance, adherence to safety practices, and performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Valid ability to operate assigned vehicles/equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Pickup soiled linen and deliver clean linen to campus locations.
• Deliver incontinent products to homes on campus and assist with sorting/folding.
• Wash and sanitize laundry carts and the soiled linen room.
• Keep vehicles clean and sanitary at all times.
• Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.
