Job summary

Towneplace Suites by Marriott Lady Lake/The Villages is seeking an experienced Laundry Attendant for their busy hotel. Compensation is based on experience. Must have open availability, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience as a Laundry Attendant in a hotel, preferably Marriott.
• Must be able to speak, understand and read English.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry and fold linen and terry; pull out damaged items for mending.
• Keep equipment clean and report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, organized laundry room and linen storerooms.
• Stock supplies and store cleaning products properly.
• Assist housekeeping with stocking carts and stripping rooms.

Essential Job Functions

• Sorts, washes, dries and folds all linen and terry. Pulls out of circulation stained and damaged linen and terry and sets aside for mending or extra cleaning.
• Keeps all equipment clean and reports maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Keeps laundry room and linen/terry storerooms stocked, clean and orderly.
• Keeps all laundry and cleaning supplies stocked and stored properly.
• Assists housekeepers in stripping rooms of linen and terry and helps with stocking of housekeeping carts.
• Acquires working knowledge of the property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
• Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for all associates and guests.
• Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
• Full-time hours (at least 30 hours per week) available; AM or PM shifts available.
• Must have full availability, including weekends and holidays.

Experience/Education

1-2 years' experience as a Laundry Attendant with an established hotel brand, preferably Marriott. High School Diploma Preferred. Must be able to speak, understand and read English.
