Job description

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is looking for a full-time Laundry Attendant.

What You Will Be Doing

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items, including linens, towels and bed coverings.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or damage and treat accordingly or report when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Track and report inventory levels of laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, etc.).
• Follow proper handling procedures for all laundry chemicals and adhere to safety protocols.
• Deliver clean laundry to designated areas as required.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and standards related to hygiene, safety, and customer service.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with guests, to co-workers and supervisors.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position

• Candidates must have the work permit and proper paperwork to be employed in the USA.
• Previous experience is a plus but not necessary.
• Flexible hours according to hotel needs; the candidate must be able to work on weekends.
• Ability to communicate with guests.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 50 lbs.).
