Local Temecula Hotel is looking for a Laundry Attendant to join their busy team. This is a Temp to Hire position. Friday - Sunday 2:30pm-11:30pm. Pay is $18.00 per hour and weekends are required.
Purpose for the Position:To tend laundering machines to clean articles such as wearing apparel, sheets, blankets, and other linens used by the hotel and guests.Essential Responsibilities:- Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines.
- Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
- Turns valve to fill washer with water.
- Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
- Sorts dried articles according to identification number or type.
- Folds and places items in appropriate storage bin.
- Lubricates machine, using grease gun and oilcan.
- May dissolve soap granules in hot water and steam to make liquid soap.
- May mend torn articles using needle and thread.
- May sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists.
- May soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solutions in vat to precondition washing.
- May mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dye and bleach specified articles.
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
- Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.
- Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
- All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:- Follow instructions.

- Pay attention to safety rules when working around machinery.
Physical Demands: Medium work. Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally.Requirements- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Attendance:Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by WCG, Inc. from time to time, is essential to be successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance/ tardies will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.99 - $18.00 Per Hour
