Job summary

Aqua Aston Hospitality in Sand City, CA is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support Owners/guests by maintaining clean linens and operating washing and dry-cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Hospitality laundry experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Inspects cleanliness of items removed from washer/dryer and places them in clean linen carts.
• Removes lint and debris from dryer screens and filters after each load.
• Folds cleaned articles into designated sizes, by hand or with a folding machine.
• Operates washing and dry-cleaning machinery according to company standards.
• Identifies stained or damaged items and determines status for repair, rewash, or discard.
• Welcomes and greets guests and anticipates their needs.
• Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contributes to team goals.
• Follows company policies and safety procedures.

Typical Day Responsibilities

• Inspects the cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and places them in clean linen carts.
• Removes lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Folds cleaned articles into designated sizes , either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Operates washing and dry-cleaning machinery in accordance with company standards.
• Identifies stained or damaged items and determines status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.

• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
