Job summary

HRI Hospitality Richmond hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean, process, and distribute linens, supporting the housekeeping team with timely deliveries.

You will operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment, lift up to 75 lbs, and follow safety procedures while maintaining cleanliness and inventory of linen supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hospitality environment experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and terry according to hotel standards.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas.
• Monitor laundry supply levels and alert management when ordering is needed.
• Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and remove items as needed.
• Deliver clean linens to storage rooms or floors as directed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper chemical use.
• Assist the housekeeping team with additional tasks when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Pay Range:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hospitality environment experience a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and safety procedures preferred.
