Montauk ONP LLC is seeking a Laundry Attendant to provide prompt and courteous laundry service to guests at our Montauk Lodge. This position involves various tasks including cleaning linens and maintaining laundry equipment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and ideally, one year of housekeeping experience, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, accurate and reliable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
• One year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Title: Laundry Attendant
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor
Department: Lodging

Summary of Position:
Provide prompt and courteous, friendly and professional laundry service to guests in accordance with Company Quality Standards.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all laundry room equipment and linens
• Supply an adequate amount of linens for Housekeepers to properly complete duties
• Ensure efficient and proper operation of laundry equipment
• Identify and report any linens or clothing not belonging to the Company
• Keep laundry area organized and clean
• Handle and store all cleaning agents according to set regulations
• Strip bedding from hotel rooms and cabins
• Alert management and Maintenance personnel of problems and issues concerning the upkeep of the hotel
• Clean and organize work area for following day
• Train and assist new employees with techniques and procedures
• Other duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling
• Must be organized, accurate and reliable
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
• A Drivers License is preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred
Resort/National Park experience preferred
