Job summary

Desert Willow Post Acute is seeking a dedicated laundry aide to maintain clean linen and provide sanitary, comfortable living for residents. Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, and delivering linen, labeling resident clothing, and adhering to sanitation procedures.

The role requires basic math, the ability to read directions, and problem-solving skills. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is involved.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 1 year of laundry/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean linen for residents’ care and comfort.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove items with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and procedures for laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report issues.
