JOB SUMMARY:

This position assists in the daily operations of the Laundry, including processing all linen for the Hotel and Resort.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform all stages of linen processing.
2. Assist in maintaining inventory controls.
3. Inspect articles to determine specific cleaning requirements.
4. Inspect finished laundered articles to ensure they meet quality standards.
5. Monitor machine and equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
6. Report equipment issues to Supervisor promptly.
7. Follow provided instructions carefully.
8. Work productively and independently, staying focused and on task with minimal socializing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Punctual and dependable.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• English comprehension preferred.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report for insurance purposes.
• Maintain proper uniform standards, including slip-resistant, enclosed toe and heel footwear.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 35 pounds repeatedly; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Stand, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear.
• Follow safety practices and procedures, remaining alert to ensure safety of all.
• Work under extreme temperatures.
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Work independently and without supervision at times.
• Interact effectively with co-workers and customers, demonstrating teamwork.
