Job Description: Laundry Attendant

The responsibilities of the Laundry Attendant include but are not limited to:

1. Load articles into washers and ensure the correct code is entered into machines.
2. Wash clothes according to Crescent and hotel standards.
3. Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damage.
4. Fold and place items in appropriate storage racks.
5. Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vats to precondition for washing.
6. Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when found.
7. Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.
8. Pretreat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures.
9. Check and clean all filters on washers and dryers every two hours.
10. Deliver linen to the closets as needed.
11. Make rounds to pull dirty linen from housekeeping carts as needed.
12. Assist with monthly linen inventory.
