Job summary

OCI Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support the Laundry and Housekeeping Department and ensure a clean, sanitary environment for guests.

You will handle linen, operate laundry equipment, assist with stocking, greet guests, follow hotel policies, and participate in training and safety procedures.

This role requires reliability, punctuality, and a professional appearance to uphold guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip while working in guest rooms.
• Stand for long periods (up to 9 hours) with attention to detail under time constraints.
• Follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load, wash and care for linen according to policies and procedures.
• Clean lint filters on dryers and maintain the laundry room.
• Assist with stocking carts with necessary linens and supplies.
• Greet all guests and offer assistance when needed.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and any accidents promptly.
• Attend scheduled meetings and required training sessions; uphold safety policies.

Position Summary:

The Laundry Attendant will ensure guest satisfaction by performing duties that support the efficient operation of the Laundry and Housekeeping Department along with maintaining the appearance of the laundry area and equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Report to work on time.
• Uniform and personal appearance is kept clean and professional.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrate commitment to providing a great experience for guests.
• Perform duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards.
• Attend briefings to learn how to effectively handle all foreseen situations.
• Provide a clean and sanitary environment for the guest.
• Turn in lost and found items immediately.
• Load, wash and care for linen as directed and in accordance to policies and procedures.
• Clean lint filters on dryers as directed.
• Clean and maintain laundry room.
• Clean public areas as assigned.
• Assist with stocking carts with necessary linens and supplies at the end of each day.
• Greet all guests and offer assistance when needed.
• Report maintenance deficiencies on work orders.
• Aid other employees as needed to maintain the successful operation of the department and the hotel.
• Adhere to timing standards.
• Comply with all safety and security policies.
• Report accidents pertaining to guests or personal injury, immediately.
• Attend scheduled meetings and necessary training sessions as requested.
• Understand emergency procedures for the entire hotel.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
