Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking staff to handle laundry services for hotel guests at our Las Vegas property. This role involves efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry items to support guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, 24/7 setting.

Responsibilities include operating ironing/folder machines, sorting and stacking articles by type, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety and hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Sort stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain inventory of discarded items.
• Operate ironing and folder machines; process cleaned articles through machines.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack by type and size; place stacks in designated areas.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters as per procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check the working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift.
• Restock work areas for next shift as assigned.
• Turns in lost and found items and guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
• Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilize protective equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents or property loss to management.
• Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per handbook.
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed.

Essential Job Functions

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
