Job summary

Freedom Village Brandywine in Coatesville, PA is seeking a temporary part-time Laundry Associate for 16 hours per week with weekend shifts. You will handle washing, ironing, folding and sorting of clothing and linens, ensuring accuracy and safety in a supportive, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Collects, cleans, and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Ensures Health Center laundry is sorted, washed, and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Maintains the laundry area in a clean, sanitary condition.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry in a timely manner.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist residents and staff with laundry-related requests while upholding confidentiality.
• Attend in-service trainings and follow supervisor priorities.

About The Role

The Laundry Associate is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens.

• Collects, cleans, and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

• Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
