Job summary

Freedom Village at Brandywine in Coatesville, PA is hiring a temporary part-time Laundry Associate for weekend 16-hour shifts. You will manage washing, ironing, folding, and sorting of clothing and linens for the community.

We value a friendly, confidential approach and will train you for the role, with requirements including ability to handle 50–100 pounds per load and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow instructions.
• Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to process 50–100 pounds of laundry at a time.
• Warm, friendly, caring manner on first impression.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Collects, cleans, and redistributes the community laundry.
• Ensures health center laundry is sorted, washed, and dried per state/federal regs.
• Maintains laundry in a clean, orderly, sanitary condition.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Performs tasks in priority order set by supervisor.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions.

We are currently hiring a temporary part-time laundry associate for 16 hours per week every weekend required.

The Laundry Associate is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens.
