Job summary

The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham is seeking a part-time Laundry Assistant to join our housekeeping team. The role supports resident care by keeping clothing and linens clean and readily available, following sanitation and safety protocols.

Shifts are 32 hours per week, 7a-3p, with $16 per hour and weekly pay. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior laundry/housekeeping experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in laundry/housekeeping in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner.
• Follow sanitation, safety, infection control and universal precautions.
• Label unmarked clothes and restock linens.
• Return residents’ clothing to their rooms.

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience working in housekeeping/laundry in a skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility preferred.

Duties:

• Maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents and facility.
• All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions.
• Follow washing instructions on each article of clothing/linen to ensure maximum care and cleanliness.
• Label unmarked clothes.
• Restock linens and return residents’ articles of clothing to their rooms.
