Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare in Portland, OR is seeking a Laundry/Linen Aide responsible for cleaning resident clothing and facility linens, ensuring timely delivery to rooms and maintaining sanitary work areas.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, good reading/writing, clear communication with residents and staff, and willingness to learn washing/drying equipment and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable facility linens.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
