Job summary

Blue Heron Senior Living is hiring a Laundry Aide for full-time evening shifts to support resident care and facility operations. You will follow established policies, handle soiled linens safely, and transport items within the laundry department while maintaining privacy and cleanliness.

The role requires English literacy, ability to lift 50 lbs, and endurance for long periods of walking and standing. The facility offers competitive wages, benefits, and employee recognition programs to reward

Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
