Job summary

San Luis Care Center, part of Avalon Health Care Group, is looking for a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join their amazing team. This position is on call and pays $19.00 per hour, allowing you to provide clean laundry services in accordance with company standards.

The Laundry Aide will perform various tasks including washing and drying of linen and maintaining cleanliness in the laundry room. Candidates should have a high school diploma and exhibit excellent customer service, dependability, and

• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred.

Wage $19.00 per hour

Shift: On Call

The laundry aide serves residents by providing clean laundry in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.
• Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) while handling linen and chemicals.
• Must be able to work in a non-regulated temperature environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred.

• Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability.
• Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.

• Must follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used in the work area.
• Must avoid energy waste (i.e., unnecessary lights).
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
