Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group's Benson Heights Rehab Center in Kent, WA is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. The role pays $18.00/hour and offers full-time eligibility for benefits.

Responsibilities include linen sorting, washing, distributing clean linen, and maintaining a clean laundry room. Must read, write, and speak English and enjoy serving seniors. Placement within wage range determined by experience and demonstrated ability. On-call Saturday and Sunday 2pm-10pm.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform linen services: collect, sort, wash and dry linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash residents' personal clothing upon request.
• Maintain laundry room cleanliness and organization.
• Use PPE and follow chemical handling procedures.
• Work in a non-regulated temperature environment.

Benson Heights Rehab Center in Kent is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our amazing team!

$18.00 /hour

Schedule: On Call on Saturday and Sunday 2pm -10pm

The laundry aide serves residents by providing clean laundry in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards.

On Call are not eligible for any of the above except 401k**Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.**

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.
• Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) while handling linen and chemicals.
• Must be able to work in a non-regulated temperature environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred.
