Job summary

Parker Health and Rehabilitation is hiring a Laundry Aide to provide comprehensive laundry services for residents and staff. You will follow procedures, handle soiled linens with care, and wear protective gear while maintaining schedules and privacy for residents.

The role includes documenting incidents and adhering to facility policies, contributing to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all residents and team members.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies over 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of laundry services to residents and staff and maintain a quality laundry program.
• Follow established policies/procedures for laundry tasks.
• Transport soiled linens using proper protocols and isolation procedures.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment while performing duties.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for assigned areas and department timelines.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times; document incidents per policy.
• Report incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations using the facility reporting system.

Laundry Aide Primary Responsibilities

The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff and residents and to maintain a successful laundry program that meets facility quality assurance standards.

Laundry Aide Essential Functions

• Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system

Laundry Aide Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
• Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
