Job summary

Ovid Healthcare Center in Ovid, MI is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to provide laundry services in a safe, sanitary, homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. On-site role with no travel, offering competitive pay at $16 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with matching funds, life insurance and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities include cleaning linens, following department procedures, disposing of waste, and supporting housekeeping

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Respond productively and handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
• Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals.
• Cross train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.

The Laundry Aide provides laundry services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Laundry services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.
