Laurels of Bedford in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Laundry Aide to provide clean linens and a sanitary, homelike environment for residents and staff. This full-time, on-site role offers $15.57 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K with matching funds, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

You will follow facility procedures, handle laundry duties, dispose of waste per safety rules, and assist with housekeeping as needed.

Formación

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsabilidades

• Respond productively to tasks/projects as assigned.
• Clean linens per department procedures and cleaning schedule.
• Dispose of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste, per policies.
• Follow safety instructions when using chemicals.
• Cross-train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.

The Laundry Aide provides laundry services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Laundry services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned
• Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule
• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals.
• Cross train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper
