Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Laundry Aide to provide essential laundry services in a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and community members. This role supports infection control and quality of life in Michigan facilities, with opportunities to cross-train in housekeeping and assist in related tasks.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, timely handling of linens, and contributing to a clean, comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Respond productively and handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
• Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals.
• Cross train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.
